Duke of Edinburgh Award

This Award has been running now for twelve years and we are very successful in the number of candidates that take part.

The Award has four elements.

These are a Skill, (e.g. playing a musical instrument) a Service (e.g. working with disabled children), a Physical Activity (e.g. playing for a school team),and an Expedition over a set distance and days according to the level taken.

There are three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. We start with the Bronze Award in Year 10.

Many employers and further education institutions appreciate the time and effort put in by pupils to achieve these awards, showing initiative, teamwork and personal organisation.
