The Governors seek to appoint for September 2010 an enthusiastic and well qualified Catholic teacher of Religious Education. We are looking for a candidate who will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire enthusiasm in students. The successful candidate will have high expectations in terms of standards and will be able to contribute effectively to the future of the department and to the Catholic ethos and life of the school. This post could be for a full time member of staff or a suitable candidate who wished to work part time (0.5 FTE).
Religious Education is central to the life of the school and is taught across all Key Stages and ability ranges.
An ability to teach KS5 and another curriculum area would also be beneficial.
Blessed William Howard is a successful 11 – 18 Catholic High School with 955 on roll (128 in the Sixth Form). This is an exciting opportunity at an exciting time in the school’s development. The Catholic ethos of the school is paramount, as is the liturgical life of the school. This is strongly supported by all staff, our feeder primary schools and local parishes.
